Love this to simplify cleaning my french press. The only drawback is that sometimes as I pull the Tambaroo out, the suction in the french press is too much for the magnets and the contraption loses its grip falling to the bottom again. It usually takes me a few tries with each pot to get it out.

I just received the Tamberoo. It is very useful and quite a clever idea. If my French press did not have a handle that extended into the opening of the beaker, it would work perfectly. As my press is currenlty designed, I have to squish the Tamberoo a little to get it inside. On the way out, it is prevented from coming out by the handle so I have to grab it and squish it a little bit again. I will probably consider buying a new press to accommodate the Tamberoo. It sounds extreme but I hate having to scrape the coffee grinds out of the beaker with a wooden spoon. Then, the grinds end up making a mess anyway. One more thing, with the Tamberoo, I do think a little bit of the coffee gets trapped inside.

It's a great idea, but it needs some work. I have the Bodem 34 oz French press this was designed for, and it has several problems despite this. As someone else pointed out, grounds will get between the magnets and the plunger, making it hard to get a good seal, so the tambaroo doesn't come out without several tries. This happens regardless of the amount of grounds I've used, though if I make a full pot of coffee, the grounds overflow the device. There is also a lip around the top of the carafe that will sometimes pull the tambaroo off the plunger, so it takes several tries to get it out. Finally, it prevents the plunger from fully depressing, so there is coffee left in the grounds, so the carafe is still pretty messy. It was a good idea, but it's almost as much work to get the tambaroo out than to clean the grounds out of the carafe.
