I was looking for an all-stainless (i.e., plastic free) french press. When this arrived, I discovered the lid was lined with plastic. I was able to remove this, and have been using the press successfully for several months, but the lid doesn't fit on the carafe as well as it should and there is a screw holding the shaft to the lid that tends to come loose.

This is a well-made coffee press. It makes just enough coffee to fill a regular mug or even a large mug of coffee for one person. Sometimes, you want just one cup of coffee, so this is perfect! If you do have a guest, you can make 2 small cups of coffee. But, you do need a larger size one if you have company.
