Fits Bodum 8 cup (32/34 ounce) French press just fine (e.g. Bodum Chambord). When you break your current one, skip the $18 Bodum and shop here. A beaker is a beaker, it's the coffee that counts.

I bought this to replace the broken glass of my Bodum 8 cup French press I purchased from Starbucks. The replacement beaker fits well. The beaker fits perfectly in its holder and the press fits perfectly in the beaker. This is a cheaper alternative to the actual Bodum replacement. The coffee still tastes great!UPDATE 08-27-12: I reduced this to 3 stars from the original 5. While the beaker fits well and still makes great-tasting coffee, when I fill the beaker to the near top to make a full pot of coffee, the beaker leaks terribly when I pour. The coffee has to be poured VERY carefully when the pot is full so that it does not leak down the sides. But to do that, it requires much concentration. Too much, in my opinion, to just pour coffee into the mug. It is such a common occurrence that for anyone who pours that first or second cup of coffee there are always leaks down the side. My guests are always apologizing for the mess! Leaking does not occur after the first two cups are poured out. While it is not really a big deal, it is definitely an annoyance, especially because we use this coffee pot all the time! I now pour over the sink so I don't have to deal with the leaking and each time wish I spent the money on the original Bodum beaker that never leaked.

Good replacement beaker for our French Press coffee maker. Was able to purchase 2 of these (one for a backup) for less than the cost of one of the name brand beakers and they are exactly the same. Just be sure to check the dimensions to make sure this beaker will fit in your French Press holder.
