Spare double wall borosilicate glass carafe for 8 cup (1.0 l, 34-ounce) BEAN French press coffeemaker. Carafe is 4.0-inch in diameter and 7-1/2-inch in height. Please note, that this carafe can only be used with the BEAN model French press coffeemaker. Due to the design of the BEAN's locking lid system, there is no need for a pour spout on glass carafe.

This was to replace the glass beaker from my Bodum New Chambord French Press, which I broke (note: do not tap on side of wastebasket to empty coffee grounds). If you have a New Chambord - this is the correct replacement model. It is identical to the original and fits perfectly.HOWEVER, the packaging for this product was atrocious. It was wrapped in a single layer of thin bubble wrap and thrown in a box. I am astounded that it arrived in one piece. I read another review that stated the beaker arrived broken. I had dismissed that as an isolated incident, but now I understand why.You have to decide if you're willing to risk receiving a damaged product when you order this. Obviously, you can return it if its damaged. But you're stuck with the inconvenience and delay.Also take careful note that this is a replacement for locking models only. If your French Press requires a pouring lip - this is the wrong model for you.

I really liked my coffee press, then the beaker got broke. I order a replacement from Amazon, and it arrived in about a thousand shards. I returned it for a replacement, which arrived cracked. Amazon gave up and said that they wouldn't send another one because they were worried the same thing would happen. I am really bummed, because as I said, I really liked my press. Also, credit to Amazon, they couldn't get the packing right to keep it from breaking, but at least they didn't give me any hassle about replacing the first broken one or refunding the money after the second broken one.

We have been using a french press for our coffee for years and the Bodum products are generally great. I was, however, frustrated to break the glass beaker the first time I used our brand new french press - the beaker slipped out of the press while I was washing it. Grrrr. I went to the store I purchased the french press from and they had no replacement beakers, nor did any other store in my area. Went online to Amazon and found the replacement immediately and getting it was a piece of cake. It arrived well packaged and in excellent shape. Fits my press perfectly and we have had zero problems with it. Great coffee every morning!
