Spend the extra money and get a different press. I have major regret buying this item. I ended up buying this product directly from a restaurant supply store after finding the link on Amazon, figuring it would be of good quality since it was supposed to be able to live up to restaurant use.The press is very poorly made. The metal body is very light and not flat on the bottom so the press is tippy. The handle feels light it could crack since I believe it is hollow; not like the solid bakelite ones on other presses. It also has a white liner in the lid that traps dirt if you don't remove it. The knob on the top came off this morning after about 6 uses. The edge of the lid cut my finger this morning. It is very sharp. The glass is no better than any other press and might be a little thinner.I know this all sounds whiny, but this item is such a piece of crap. If you are worried about breaking the beaker of a more expensive press, you can always buy replacement -- you don't have to throw the thing away. You've been warned.

After few uses, i washed it, and maybe I touched something or the holder was too tight, because the glass started to break slowly, so I had to throw it out, but I kept the holder in hopes to buy the glass, but the glass costs twice the price of a new coffee press. So now I have a new press with a thicker glass and easy to remove from the holder. I want to use mine for a longer time.

For the price you really can't beat it. It looks nice, but it's a bit on the flimsy side, but it makes fine coffee - just be sure to use a course grind. It's worth the $22 and you won't be too upset if you break the glass (like I did with the expensive one I had before purchasing this one).
