I've purchased several Bodum Double Wall Thermo Glasses and have never had an issue. I've read the reviews where people complain the glasses are too delicate. Well, I wouldn't let children/teens use them that's for sure. With regard to them breaking when using ice dispensers, it's clear these folks have never lived in europe. Ice is not routinely used in beverages. Very few drinks are served cold with the exception of some beer and fast food soft drinks. Therefore, there is no need to make glasses that are built to withstand the impact of ice cubes falling into the glass from a ice dispenser. (In fact, I'd guess only 1 in 100,000 refrigerators in europe even have ice dispensers--I've only seen two in 11 years living there.) The glasses were made and designed to keep inside temperature away from the exterior surface. Plain and simple. The fact that they are also stylish is a plus. Therefore, if you can't manage to load ice gently by hand or insist on letting children/teens use your glasses, then these are not for you. Suggest Tupperware.

I just love these! They eliminate condensation because of the double wall. Drinks stay very cold, the ice hardly melts. Pricey but I just ordered my 3rd set. (With 8 in the family a necessity.) Be careful when washing in dishwasher, they can shatter if not securly placed in the top rack. But this style is stronger. Love them!

We use these glasses for hot and cold beverages. They are perfect for both. We've broken a few, but no more than regular glassware. This is the second set of four we've bought we like them so much.
