I bought this filter to replace the original on my Bodum french press, which had seen ~6 months of daily use. After a while the edges of the stock filter had frayed and had become quite a pain to use. Although this filter costs more than half the cost of a full (plastic) french press, it looks to be the same as what comes on a brand new press, and should last quite a while.If your accident prone, it may we worth the extra $8 to buy the full press so that you'd have an extra beaker on hand incase yours breaks. Otherwise this is a great replacement filter, albeit at a substantial cost.

THEY SAID IT FITS ALL SIZE COFFEE PRESS'S BUT I DON'T SEE HOW...MINE IS THE SMALL ONE SO I'D HAVE TO CUT IT AND THAT MAKES THE EDGES JUUUUST LIKE THE ONE I REPLACED! SO WHAT WAS THE POINT ! IT WILL WORK ON MY 6 CUP PRESS WHEN IT WEARS OUT .
