I've had this grinder for couple of months now, and mainly use it to grind my Sumatra for my AeroPress.It's an ok grinder for the money. Here are the pros and cons.Pros- Looks pretty nice- Easy to adjust coarseness- Grinds are of fairly consistent sizeCons- Small drawer so can only hold couple of scoops at a time- Wobbly burr construction make it unsteady- Slow, about 200 revolutions per scoop (7 grams)- LoudI've recently bought a restored big box KyM espresso grinder, and it's just so much better than this in terms of aggressiveness, burr quality and drawer size, though it cost me three times as much.I recommend this grinder to anyone who just need grinds fine enough for drip, and who doesn't mind spending 5 minutes every morning grinding their coffee beans.

I picked this mill up so that when the power goes out, or when camping, I can grind coffee beans to keep my need for coffee satisfied. For those addicted to caffeine, it would be a good idea to include the this mill in your "coffee kit", along with a few pounds of beans, a water heating solution, a french press and of course, a few extra gallons of water.This mill produces enough ground coffee bean for a full pot/press of coffee with one bean filling.The cut of the bean is perfect for french press.The quality of the mill is very good for the price.*** RECOMMENDED ***

This was a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. It looks nice on the shelf and it is definitely functional. It takes about 5 minutes to hand grind enough beans for a pot of coffee and as there are fewer beans in the hopper above the grinder it seems to work less well. It should be noted that I have very small hands and my boyfriend has larger hands and we both find the crank comfortable for the duration of grinding enough for one pot of coffee.We still use an electric grinder for get out the door applications but we are quite content with the purchase and use it on weekends when we have more time. Considering this was half the price of some other grinders on Amazon at the time of purchase I think it was well worth the money.
