I do have to admit, this French press sure looks nice. That's about the only thing going for it. The description says it's made of glass and stainless steel. What it doesn't say is that the glass is so thin it will probably crack after first use. The stainless steel is more like aluminum than steel - thin, flimsy, and easily malleable. There is a plastic insert inside the lid (whose presence isn't mentioned anywhere) that stinks tremendously. It is removable, but the inside of the metal lid isn't polished. Compared to my other French press, from IKEA, this one definitely loses the competition. And it's made in China (though what isn't, nowadays).The plastic and flimsiness are made of fail; back to Amazon it goes.

Very thin glass beaker, I handled it with great care. Used it for 3 mos and it developed a crack around the top of the glass beaker and just broke off. It looked like a glass cutter had been used on it and the top of the beaker just snapped off. I saw that it was very thin when it arrived and I hand washed it with great care. There must not be any quality control in the factory where it was made. Would not recommend it waste of money.

A great little french press - easy to use, feels quite sturdy, and large enough for several cups of coffee for two.Seller was great - quick delivery and great communication.I especially liked that this french press is uniquely designed without the loud colours and plastic materials that you find with most other french presses. It looks great out on the counter - we've been using it daily for a few months and it is keeping up well.
